EXERCISE FOR THE PHYSICAL BODY

Sentient fitness is partially derived from the idea of “non-resistance”. Sentient fitness integrates multiple paths of exercise for the physical body. One thing all these paths have in common is no use of weights or lifting physical objects to increase ones power, strength or look.

Why no lifting weights?

  • It initiates the practice of “resistance”. Whatever is being reflected in the physical body has its birth in the subtler bodies i.e. the mental body. The practice of resistance in physical exercise strengthens the sense of resistance in the subtler bodies. In order to counteract this sense we apply actions of non-resistance in the physical realm, our exercises being one area.
  • The use of weights stresses the body beyond its natural intent which causes us to suffer from pains further down the line in our bones and joints. One of the gifts of body weight training is the control one gains over their physical body. This strengthens one’s confidence within their own body. This sense of confidence and strength translates throughout the other bodies as well, allowing us to strengthen our mental and emotional faculties through physical exercises.
